According to NEPRA, all connections with a load of 5 kilowatts or more have Time of Use (TOU) / Time of Day (TOD) meters installed. These meters operate based on Peak and Off-Peak hours, so it is advisable to minimize electricity usage during Peak Hours and take advantage of the Off-Peak tariff. The TOU timings are as follows:
December to February
- Peak Timing: 5 PM to 9 PM
- Off-Peak Timing: Rest of the 20 hours
March to May
- Peak Timing: 6 PM to 10 PM
- Off-Peak Timing: Rest of the 20 hours
June to August
Peak Timing: 7 PM to 11 PM
